Susie Sexton has been the director at St. John’s for the past 5 years and has also taught for 10 years. She started out as an aide, then was the Pre-K and 4’s and 5’s teacher. She currently teaches the 4’s and 5’s PM class. She and her husband Matt have 4 children (all of whom attended St. John’s Early Childhood Program) Tabitha just graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Erin is a freshman also at Miami University (online this semester) and she has twin boys, Nick and Connor who are Sophomores at Tippecanoe High School. Her family loves Disney and enjoys traveling.
Sharon Wint has been a teacher since 2009 and began in the 4 & 5’s classroom. In 2016 she moved into the Pre-K level of learning. Sharon and her daughter Claire, who attends BGSU, enjoy reading, tennis, hiking, biking, kayaking and pickleball.
My name is Deborah Rodenberg and I am going on my fifth year at St. John’s. My husband and I have lived in Tipp City since 2010 and we have a son who is eight. My son and I enjoy going to the zoo, building Legos, watching Battle Bots, riding bikes, hiking, and we could spend hours trying to catch frogs at Brukners pond. I look forward to each school year and love watching the students grow and learn.
Heidi Zimmer has been a teacher at St. John’s ECP for two years. Currently she teaches in the 4 & 5’s classroom on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. She and her husband PJ have four children. Their oldest Maddie is in sixth grade at Bethel Middle School. Their son Traynor is in the fourth grade, and their twins Connor and Aiden are in the first grade all at Bethel elementary. In her free time Heidi enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and walking their two dogs.
My name is Lauren Kendall. I’ve worked at St. John’s for 3 years. 1 year as an aide and 2 years as a teacher. I teach 3’s & 4’s and absolutely love it! I have lived in Tipp City since 2009. My husband and I have 4 kids in Tipp Schools; 2 Seniors (headed to Ohio State University next year), 1 Sophomore and a First Grader. We enjoy watching our kids in Marching Band, at the soccer stadium and Dance. We also have two dogs-Maxine & Delilah.
Hello. My name is Beth Smith. I teach the 3 & 4 year old’s at St. John ECP. I have taught for 11 years. Prior to that I volunteered for the 7 years my children attended St. John’s and have also been a teacher aide. My husband, Sanford and I have 3 children and I have always lived in Tipp City. Sanford, originally from Baltimore, works in Tipp City. Our oldest daughter, Megan lives and teaches Spanish in Florida. Our son, Daniel lives in Tipp City and has 2 wonderful girls and our youngest daughter, Emma attends and will graduate this Spring from Wright State University. I have 2 amazing granddaughters; Aura is 6 and Mae is 4. I love to travel (especially to Maine), visit National Parks and hike and be outdoors. I love to read, and I love being with my granddaughters. They make my heart smile. Having my children and granddaughters attend the preschool and being a teacher at St. John’s, I have seen and know the love and care each child receives from this Wonderful school.
Sandy Hipp has been an Administrative Assistant at St. John’s ECP for 6 years. She and her husband Joel have 3 children and 5 grandchildren with 1 more on the way! They love to read, bike, camp, travel the U.S.A., especially visiting National Parks, and spend time with the kids and grandkids whenever possible.
Sheila Gagnon has been a teacher’s aide at St. John’s ECP for 4 years. She currently works Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays mornings helping in all three classrooms. She and her husband Dave have 3 children in Tipp City Schools. Nathan is a senior, Emma is a sophomore and Andrew is in the sixth grade. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading and watching her kids’ sporting events and activities.
